Please contact me if you are interested in commissioning a portrait. Personal portraits have taken on a new revival in this day and age where the modern digital social medias produce "portraits" in the form of selfies every second or minute without capturing the person within. A portrait painted with oil on canvas or panel, demands time and during the process the interaction between the sitter and the artist will uncover layers. A personal portrait is a valuable gift which will last forever throughout generations. Please contact Ginny Page for more information.

  • 12 MONTHS HIGHLIGHTS

      December 2025
      Happy New Year!!

What a wonderful year 2025 has been!
On a personal level becoming a grandmother to my granddaughter is the highlight of the year!!
Professionally it has been 25 amazing exhibitions and venues I wouldn't have missed. It brought me to Italy, Spain, England, Denmark, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Austria, Sweden, The Netherlands and of course home base Denmark 🙂

In 2025 I celebrated 25 years of exhibiting at Galerie Knud Grothe (Charlottenlund, Denmark)! Thank you, Knud, for your professional support over so many years and for taking me under your wing! In 2025 I participated in two group exhibitions at Galerie Knud Grothe!

2025 also gave me the honour to exhibit, as a finalist, with some of the worlds finest realist portrait painters within the GaleriaArtelibre in both Barcelona and Madrid, Spain. It was an emotional experience being with so many fellow artists and art lovers who embrace the beauty of art, thank you director José Enrique González.

Most of the exhibitions I do are collective, but this year I had one solo-exhibition for two months at Wilma Geerts Galerie in Dordrecht, Netherlands (Holland). Thank you, Wilma Geerts, for offering me this opportunity, for your hospitality, for the great time we had together and preparing and hanging the exhibition!

It seems I have been exhibiting in London 8 times in 2025! Many of them are at Mall Galleries. I will only highlight a few:
The Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) is wonderful experience to be part of. ROI embraces oil painting in a wide variety of styles an technics. Thank you to president Adebanji Alade Artist for your energy! I have been fortunate to be exhibiting with ROI 3 times now.

The Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) is a 202-year-old organization in which I have had the honour of exhibiting with for 6 years.

The The Society of Botanical Artists (SBA) and Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers (RMS) are two of my favourite societies with artists and art creating the most exquisite works you can imagine!

The British Art Prize competition (formerly known as Artist of the Year) is one exhibition I treasure. It was the one that kick started me to exhibit in London back in 2011. Since 2011 I have been a finalist in the competition and therefore had my work exhibited 7 times in London. The competition is run by Artists And Illustrators Magazine and Parker Harris.

I would also like to thank The Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) for the opportunity of exhibiting at your grand venue in Edinburgh and for the wonderful galla events, always a joy being in beautiful Edinburgh!

Thank you Annegrethe Davis, Davis Gallery, Contemporary Art, (Bredgade 69, Copenhagen, Denmark) for always looking after me and the gallery artists and making us all feel at home. Your gallery is more than a business it is a community!

Finally, thank you Royal Ulster Academy for the opportunity to exhibit at Ulster Museum in Belfast 6 times in a row since 2020. Belfast has stolen my heart 😊

Looking into 2026 exhibitions are being planned. The Society of Women Artists, where I am an elected member has beside the annual exhibition in Mall Galleries in London, also planned a "members only" exhibition at Stephenson's Gallery in York.
      Much more to come!

Happy New Year to customers, fellow artists, academies, societies, friends and galleries and for everyone for their support and kindness! It means a great deal!

      Ginny Page

The exhibition is from 5. July to 31. August 2025.

    • Press release:
      "Simple Pleasures"
WG Galerie in Dordrecht proudly presents Simple pleasures, a solo exhibition by Ginny Page, a British-born (1963) artist who has lived and worked in Denmark since 1986. With over 40 years of professional experience, Page is known for her meticulously observed realist paintings, capturing everyday objects and moments with emotional depth and technical mastery. In Simple pleasures, she invites the viewer to pause and reflect on the often overlooked aspects of life—highlighting the quiet joy of simplicity. Her work is both intimate and timeless, drawing inspiration from the great still life painters of the 15th century while remaining deeply personal and contemporary. Ginny Page is an active member of the Society of Women Artists (SWA) and the Portrait Society of America. Her international exhibition history includes prestigious venues such as the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (London), ModPortrait (Barcelona), Royal Ulster Academy (Belfast), Royal Scottish Academy (Edinburgh), and Portrait NOW (Denmark). Her work has been recognized in major competitions like the Art Renewal Center (ARC) and featured in publications such as International Artist Magazine, Artists & Illustrators, Hyperrealism Magazine, and American Art Collector. In a truly unique development, a digitized image of one of her paintings is set to travel to the moon as part of the Lunar Codex & ARC project, launching in September 2025.
      Ginny:
I draw and paint intensively observed realistic paintings of everyday objects or people that I have a deep connection with. Using a limited palette of 5 colours I enjoy the challenge of what the substance oil paint can actually achieve. I paint only what I really love and create my own images as uniquely and honestly as I possibly can. It is often the most simple things that give me the greatest of joy as a painter.
Shedding light on the essential and recording personal diaries in paint whilst it still exists in the now has always been my true obsession. Many of my paintings have a hidden symbolism which often refers to the transience of life in general. The meticulous craftsmanship of the earliest still master painters particularly from 15th century continue to inspire. I wish to evoke a feeling of calm and quiet contemplation towards the viewer and invite them to take a closer look. Life is fragile. Remember to be grateful.
You are very welcome to the solo expositie “Simple Pleasures ” by Ginny Page and meet this very talented artist in person.
The exhibition is from 5. July to 31. August 2025.
