Happy New Year!!
What a wonderful year 2025 has been!
On a personal level becoming a grandmother to my granddaughter is the highlight of the year!!
Professionally it has been 25 amazing exhibitions and venues I wouldn't have missed. It brought me to Italy, Spain, England, Denmark, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Austria, Sweden, The Netherlands and of course home base Denmark 🙂
In 2025 I celebrated 25 years of exhibiting at Galerie Knud Grothe (Charlottenlund, Denmark)! Thank you, Knud, for your professional support over so many years and for taking me under your wing! In 2025 I participated in two group exhibitions at Galerie Knud Grothe!
2025 also gave me the honour to exhibit, as a finalist, with some of the worlds finest realist portrait painters within the GaleriaArtelibre in both Barcelona and Madrid, Spain. It was an emotional experience being with so many fellow artists and art lovers who embrace the beauty of art, thank you director José Enrique González.
Most of the exhibitions I do are collective, but this year I had one solo-exhibition for two months at Wilma Geerts Galerie in Dordrecht, Netherlands (Holland). Thank you, Wilma Geerts, for offering me this opportunity, for your hospitality, for the great time we had together and preparing and hanging the exhibition!
It seems I have been exhibiting in London 8 times in 2025! Many of them are at Mall Galleries. I will only highlight a few:
The Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) is wonderful experience to be part of. ROI embraces oil painting in a wide variety of styles an technics. Thank you to president Adebanji Alade Artist for your energy! I have been fortunate to be exhibiting with ROI 3 times now.
The Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) is a 202-year-old organization in which I have had the honour of exhibiting with for 6 years.
The The Society of Botanical Artists (SBA) and Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers (RMS) are two of my favourite societies with artists and art creating the most exquisite works you can imagine!
The British Art Prize competition (formerly known as Artist of the Year) is one exhibition I treasure. It was the one that kick started me to exhibit in London back in 2011. Since 2011 I have been a finalist in the competition and therefore had my work exhibited 7 times in London. The competition is run by Artists And Illustrators Magazine and Parker Harris.
I would also like to thank The Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) for the opportunity of exhibiting at your grand venue in Edinburgh and for the wonderful galla events, always a joy being in beautiful Edinburgh!
Thank you Annegrethe Davis, Davis Gallery, Contemporary Art, (Bredgade 69, Copenhagen, Denmark) for always looking after me and the gallery artists and making us all feel at home. Your gallery is more than a business it is a community!
Finally, thank you Royal Ulster Academy for the opportunity to exhibit at Ulster Museum in Belfast 6 times in a row since 2020. Belfast has stolen my heart 😊
Looking into 2026 exhibitions are being planned. The Society of Women Artists, where I am an elected member has beside the annual exhibition in Mall Galleries in London, also planned a "members only" exhibition at Stephenson's Gallery in York.
Much more to come!
Happy New Year to customers, fellow artists, academies, societies, friends and galleries and for everyone for their support and kindness! It means a great deal!
